The art club in Conniburrow, Milton Keynes, is led by myself and another artist. It is run in partnership with Great Linford Parish Council and Arts for Health MK. The first session was held on the 5th October 2024. Since then it has run every Saturday. To date only 6 Saturdays have not had an art club and this is because of things like, Bank Holidays and Christmas. We will hit 100 Sessions by the end of October 2026. Sessions run 10 am until 12pm.
I have run over 50 sessions, each session I run is different. I try to bring activities that are new to participants and sometimes to me. I like people to leave having made something they are proud of or maybe would not have thought that they could make. I’m not going to list the workshops I have run but highlights include, Lino Printing, Needle Felting and Cyanotype (This currently holds the largest number of participants at 22).
The sessions are very welcoming and have a lovely community feeling. We have weekly regulars but new faces pop in all the time and very often become regulars themselves. The space we have in Conniburrow is relatively small and often fills up very quickly. A soft cap of 15 has been suggested, but our numbers are often more than this. Since launching in October 2024, the Conniburrow Art Club has delivered (as of early August 2026) 88 sessions, welcoming over 100 individual participants and generating 678 participant visits. Attendance has grown consistently, rising from just one participant at the first session to a peak of 22 participants, with recent sessions regularly attracting 10–17 participants.
